Welcome to IHNIirc.
IHNIirc is a network with many users of many backgrounds. A wide range of users are very close, and talk together daily, whilst others are here for one purpose and only join a few channels, kind of separating themselves from the rest of the network. Whatever type of user you are, then you are welcome at IHNIirc.
IHNIirc is the ideal place to start your IRC experience. C'mon and join us at irc.I-Have-No.info or SSL enabled servers @ irc.ssl.i-have-no.info

Looking for Server Links

E-mail Print PDF

We are currently looking for server links in:

  • United Kingdom
  • North America (Mexico, US, Canada)
  • Just about anywhere else.

A server link does not mean an immediate O:Line, but chances are that you will be screened right away (meaning you would have a "Screened-Oper" O:Line)

Requirements for server link:

  • Inspircd 2.0
  • Compiled with gnutils for ssl
  • Remote Configuration from our webserver.
  • compiled with ipv6 if available.
  • An application filled out at http://i-have-no.info/link

GroupServ

We have upgraded our services package to include, the newest feature from Atheme, GroupServ.
GroupServ will allow you to register/manage your group.
You can manage your groups members by using GS Flags, and manage member channel access by adding the !Group to channel access list.
Your groups members will receive group memos, and much more to come.

Join #Groups for group specific help, also be sure to read our Groups page.

AuthServ or NickServ?

E-mail Print PDF

There has been big debate over AuthServ or NickServ, and I would finally like to get this debate out of the way.
Firstly I would like to point out reasons why AuthServ is not only good for the users of IHNIirc, but also good for the network itself.

  1. AuthServ lowers the size of the databases (ie- not having a whole bunch of nicks grouped to an account), allowing IHNIirc to grow it's member base.
  2. AuthServ allows users to login to their account from up to 5 different clients without the need for grouped nicks.
  3. AuthServ allows a user to use whatever nick they are feeling at the moment, without having to group that nick to the account (ie- One account, covers every nick that you wish to ever use).
  4. AuthServ, while not providing nickname protection, will however add a line to your /whois telling people what account you are logged in as, and not only this, but so will your hostname, (ie- "nick!ident@/group/users/account-name").

However you feel about AuthServ, if you like or dislike it, please post your opinion on the poll at http://I-Have-No.Info/authserv-or-nickserv.
No matter what you think, your vote counts, and we hope to see your votes so that we can verify them all this coming Friday.

Instead of posting your comments here, why not vote for your opinion?

Newsletter

E-mail Print PDF

A newsletter system has been developed in order to keep IHNIirc users up to date with the latest news going on on IHNIirc.
By default, all users with an Authserv account are added to the mailing list, however if you ask in #help to be removed, then your request will be granted.

It can be found at http://i-have-no.info/help
If you can't find the help you are looking for on that page, then please join #help
or if you are wanting a vHost please join #help and ask an IRCop to assign you a vhost.
