So you want to know a bit about IHNIirc?

History

IHNIirc was born in a small house on Somerset street in February 2010.
Started by xnite & JaYaRe, the network gained popularity fairly quick.
It's services constantly have been growing, and continue to grow, with it's user base and support.

In late March, Conflict merged into IHNIirc, and things were looking a bit better, however in early May, they split, as things were n0t quite working out as planned.

Shortly after the split, IHNIirc accepted a link with JanusIRC, which at the time was bringing together 7 other networks, into one large union of networks.

Current

In July 2010, IHNIirc started gaining new users from different types of services, activities, and being active in other communities, gaining a user count in the thousands.
IHNIirc is growing in more ways, launching on the website alone, User Profiles, Blogging, Classifieds, Community Support board, Private Messaging via website, and more to come.

IHNIirc does not seem to stop growing.
On August 29th, IHNIirc updated it's services to gain the newly anticipated GroupServ. This service allows users to register and maintain groups, and allows each member of a group (given permission to do so) gain certain permissions in channels where the group has access to, as well as reading group memos.
When Atheme developers are finished (and the features we are anticipating), GroupServ will give group members vhosts, and even contain information of the group's channel if they have one. Quite frankly, we here at IHNIirc just can't wait!
